Happy ChooseDay!

“I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens
Promise me that you’ll give faith a fighting chance

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Livin’ might mean takin’ chances, but they’re worth takin’
Lovin’ might be a mistake, but it’s worth makin’
Don’t let some hellbent heart leave you bitter
When you come close to sellin’ out, reconsider
Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance

I hope you dance” ~ Lee Ann Womack

Dream continuously.

Believe completely.

Risk intuitively.

Celebrate incessantly.

There’s nothing scary about choice.

Scary is when you don’t have a choice.

Life is a One-Way Ticket ~ Where is yours taking you?

I am such a girl!

There are many things that get me excited in life but not many that get me THIS excited!

I am talking screaming, crying, raving lunatic mad excited!

Last week I got wind of a “Because We Can” WORLD tour by Bon Jovi.  If there is news coming out regarding this band I’m going to be one of the first to know about it ~ I have my fingers in all the pies for news! Now anyone who knows me knows I am the world’s biggest fan of this band and have been ever since they invented sliced bread. Okay, well maybe not that long but ever since they formed in 1983.  I was merely 9 years old.

It has been an uninterrupted love affair since then.

I have ALL their albums.

I know all the songs word for word.

I have been only their BIGGEST fan since I was a kid.

In the 80’s when this song (and video) was released, I was 12 years old and it got me into  a lot of trouble….

This is how the story goes….

Back in the 80’s when I was 12 years old “Livin’ on a Prayer” had just been released and Jon Bon Jovi was a super-rock-god in skin-tight ripped jeans strutting his stuff on stage. He was my idol. I adored him. One day I attempted to leave the house in my skin-tight, newly ripped jeans, Bon Jovi style. My poor father nearly had a heart attack and screamed at me “and where the hell do you think you are going dressed like that young lady?!” Needless to say I had to go back and change.

Hahahah, such good times!!

This morning it was confirmed. Bon Jovi is once again coming to South Africa’s shores.

I have been there before.

In the golden circle.

My rock idol up closer and (almost) personal.

I cried.

I screamed.

I was in a trance.

I stomped my feet in pure excitement.

Then I cried some more.

My friends will be there to support me again.

They have experienced this before.

From then

Until now

I am STILL your biggest fan.

And once again, I WILL BE THERE!!

In the Golden Circle.

Right up front.

7th May 2013 Baby.

I have my tickets.

I’ll see you there!

*Now if only I could get #87 on my Bucket List to come true my life would be complete!*
