Footsteps In Heaven

Tonight I can hear the sound of beautiful footsteps in heaven as Emma dances on fluffy white clouds.

I spent a large part of this afternoon with this huge lump in my throat, trying to compose myself, the tears flowing easily and I still find it hard to find the right words. I realise this speechlessness is going to literally knock me off my feet often over the next few months.

Bring it on I say. I am armed with a box of tissues and I’ll make serious attempts not to wear high heels for the sake of a more stable footing….

In just four days of going “live” to the world with my new blog, you have helped me raise R1093,41 for Cystic Fibrosis!!!!!!!!!  I cannot even begin to explain what this means to me and what I know this means to Emma & her family.

This is just the beginning…

Thank you to all of you who have already opened your hearts and thank you to all of you who I know are still going to.  I couldn’t think of a better way to honour my best friend’s memory.

Sometimes, a small thing you do can mean everything in another person’s life. My heart knows no words to truly show my appreciation but I hope one day when you are standing in front of me, my tears of gratitude will be testament to what I feel and want to say.

To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.

This is to have succeeded.
